Post Election Market Rally

US stocks rallied sharply on Wednesday, reaching record highs following Donald Trump’s win in the 2024 presidential election. The outcome was determined sooner than anticipated, with Trump securing several key swing states and the race being called early Wednesday morning.

In addition to the presidential election, Republicans gained control of the Senate, while the House of Representatives remains undecided, and it could take several days for the final outcome.

Markets responded quickly to the increased clarity, with volatility dropping as investors adjusted to the election results. U.S. stocks saw substantial gains, particularly in small caps, regional banks, industrials, and energy sectors.

While we are not making any immediate portfolio adjustments based on these developments, November is a scheduled rebalancing month for many of the portfolios. As always, we will consider the broader geopolitical environment and economic environment as we rebalance portfolios this month.
